Steel Rolling Filtration

This application includes companies engaged in cold-rolling steel sheets and strip and hot-rolled steel sheets and strip. A water-based coolant is used and requires continuous filtration to minimize build-up of solids which could cause defects and staining on the sheet finish. For the larger flowrates associated with steel rolling, an air vacuum filter and magnetic separator are typically used. Complete system packages including tanks, pumps, heat exchanger and controls can be proposed.
