Copper Wire Drawing Filtration

This application includes companies engaged in drawing, insulating wire and cable of nonferrous (copper, brass, etc.) metals from purchased wire bars, rods, or wire. When drawing nonferrous wire, a water-soluble emulsion is often used. This emulsion must be continuously filtered to eliminate the fines which would increase die wear and reduce die and capstan life. Typically, gravity filters and vacuum filters are used for these applications. Complete system packages including tanks, pumps, heat exchanger and controls can be proposed.
